About the Classes

Introductory up to Comprehensive Content

Introductory course materials are better than "Basics". All of our classes begin with a little bit of home study. Some of the courses contain a significant part of home study. This is how we ensure you are getting better than basic content. At the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of the content and understand why the skills are done in a particular way. Too many times as a student we come away knowing 'How' to do a skill or technique without understanding 'Why' it is being done in a particular fashion. This leads students to misunderstand the technique. Students miss the nuances and the situational use of the skills. This is a primary reason for the home study section of our classes. Completing the home study will help with your understanding of the content being presented and it may even prompt some great questions when we meet. NSR Education strives to include enough background content so that you understand the When, Where, How and the Why of a particular skill.

Comprehensive Skill Content. In these courses we go beyond the basics and get into the weeds practicing and discussing the nuances of the skills. Intermediate and Advanced exercises help to engrain the skills well enough that a little practice throughout the year will be enough to keep your skills useful.

Content "A-X"

Why not A to Z?

Simple, we are all lifelong learners. Recognizing that there is always something new and something more to learn we cannot honestly tell you we teach an A-Z program. However, we can confidently and safely get you into the Intermediate and Advanced levels of content. Skill training and education is an ongoing process of developing ourselves into better more well-rounded individuals.
If you are as good as you want to be, congratulations on your accomplishment, our courses are not for you. However, if you are new to the content or want to hone your skills to the next level, we are here to help. If you are concerned that you do not know enough about the topic to take one of our classes, please give us a call. If you are concerned that a course is not going to provide you the results you are expecting we can discuss a custom private or corporate group training.

Do I get a Cert?

Certificates

You get recognized

All of our students receive a certificate of completion. Some of our courses contain certifications. Each certificate will contain an expiration date or a suggested skill renewal date if it is a skill certification. All other certificates are acknowledgments of training time. All certificates will contain the hours studied so you can submit the certificate for PD hrs if your company accepts them.

Comprehensive Programs

Comprehensive Programs are better than À la Carte

Sign-up for a Course Program and receive complete contiguous content. Individual classes are intended to be complete from beginning to end in a 1-2 day format. Course Programs offer many more advantages and opportunities for skill development and retention.
Here are a few things for you to consider regarding our Course Programs:

  1. Coherence and Continuity: A structured course program is designed to provide a cohesive learning experience. Each class builds upon the previous one, ensuring continuity in learning. This sequential progression helps students grasp complex concepts more effectively as they advance through the program.

  2. Comprehensive Curriculum: Course programs are carefully curated to cover a wide range of topics relevant to the subject area. By enrolling in a program, students can be confident that they are gaining a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, rather than just focusing on isolated topics.
  3. Guidance and Support: In a course program, students receive guidance and support from instructors. They can ask questions, seek clarification, and receive feedback on their progress, which can greatly enhance the learning experience. *Even after the class has ended.
  4. Community and Networking: Enrolling in a structured program often means joining a community of peers who share similar interests and goals. This sense of camaraderie can foster collaboration, peer learning, and networking opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
  5. Credential and Recognition: Completing a course program may lead to earning a certification*. Employers and academic institutions often recognize the value of completing a structured program, as it demonstrates commitment and proficiency in the subject area. *Not all of our programs contain certifications. Certification fees may be an additional cost in some programs.
  6. Time and Resource Management: By enrolling in a course program, students can benefit from a pre-determined schedule and course sequence, which can help them manage their time, resources, and skill advancement more effectively.

Overall, while taking classes in an à la carte fashion may offer flexibility, opting for a structured course program provides numerous advantages in terms of coherence, support, community, and time management. It can ultimately lead to a more enriching and rewarding learning experience.
